In the last few years, I have been working on an artistic response to my role as mother and caregiver to my daughter, who was diagnosed with adrenal carcinoma at 10 months.
In 2007, I was invited to participate in a workshop to share my knowledge and self help tools that I learned as a caregiver. Many people, living in the north, have managed much more difficult journeys and have lost their own lives or loved ones as a result of illness. I hope that this art expression will enable other patients and caregivers to find solace through their own art experience, and in time they may also reflect on their own caregiving journey and pass on their own healing knowledge.
